Toast (or Dunk) To National Oreo Day with 26 Tasty Ways to Eat Oreos
Oreos stand out as the best cookie on this planet to me, because of the many ways you can eat the crispy fudge sandwich cookie. You can dunk it in milk or eat both sides first and leave the icing. You can dunk your Oreos in milk, eat both sides first and leave the icing for later or just pop the whole thing in your mouth. As March 6 is National Oreo Day, we thought it would be great to give you some different ways to enjoy this tasty cookie. 1. Oreo Fudge Brownies
Ingredients
- 1½ cups of softened butter
- 1½ cups of granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 drops of vanilla extract
- ½ cup of all-purpose flour
- ½ cup of cocoa
- ½ cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
- 20 Oreo cookies, 6 whole and the rest chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 F or 177 C.
- Cream the butter and sugar together using a mixer or whisk.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
- Put in the all-purpose flour and cocoa and mix until well combined.
- Using a spatula, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spray an 8-by-8 pan with baking spray and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Line it with half the batter and lay the whole cookies over the top.
- Spread the remaining batter over and then the chopped Oreos.
- Place it into the oven and bake for 50 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool completely and serve and enjoy your Oreo fudge brownies
2. Oreo Stuffed Red Velvet Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (careful not to over-measure)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature.
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar (or dark brown)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg, at room temperature
- 1 tbsp. milk
- 2 tbsp. red food coloring (liquid, gel or 2 tsp. beet powder alternative)
- 12-15 Oreo cookies
