We’re here to tell you that fancy desserts don’t have to be a time-suck!
Our favorite bloggers get us. For this reason, recipes are now accommodating the modern-day person and their crazy tight schedules.
After the easy no-bake desserts bloggers have concocted with us mind, today we’re learning how to prepare some easy fancy desserts that will appeal to both our taste buds and eyes!

4.) Fresh Watermelon Layer Cake, by Wife Mama Foodie
Alright, this one is as easy as it gets! There is literally nothing involved in the recipeother than fruit, a cutting board and a knife!
The Fresh Watermelon Layer Cake by Joscelyn from Wife Mama Foodie is highly customizable depending on the fruits of the season, whether you’d like to add extra ingredients or how you want to present it.
In addition, once the weather starts warming up, choose the perfect watermelon, slice it into several round layers, add freshly cut fruits between the layers, and make a feast for yourself and your loved ones!
We love the itty-bitty star-shaped fruit cuts on top! In addition, the colorfulness and presentation of the cake could encourage many kids to eat more fruits and taste some new flavors they may be reluctant to try at first.

3.) Strawberry Shortcake & Lemon Curd Parfait, by The Rising Spoon
The next of our fancy desserts stars two of our favorites: strawberries and lemon!
The Strawberry Shortcake & Lemon Curd Parfait is a delightful burst of sweetness. Thanks to its individual serving glasses, each one of your loved ones and guests will take their time to savor it to the fullest.
Elaina from The Rising Spoon used macerated strawberries, crushed plain scones, lemon curd and freshly whipped cream, and we can only imagine how heavenly this classic combination tastes like!
Actually, you can make this recipe more or less difficult depending on your mood and available time: You can either make at home or buy ready-made the scones, lemon curd or whipped cream. We all know the 100% homemade ingredients are a bit better than the store-bought ones, but this doesn’t have to stop us from enjoying the recipe
P.S: After these three recipes, I think we’ve found one secret to easy fancy desserts: It’s all in the layers!

2.) Strawberry Mendiant, by Alexandre Bourdeaux
This fancy dessert comes straight from the well-known Pastry & Chocadvice in Belgium, by chef and owner Alexandre Bourdeaux. If there is one thing we can’t argue about, it’s the talent and expertise of European chefs and pastry pros. Of course, this is why we are delighted to find this recipe from Callebaut – we will finally borrow some of their tricks to elevate our pastry game!
According to Wikipedia, a mendiant is a traditional French confection composed of a chocolate disk studded with nuts and dried fruits representing the four mendicant or monastic orders.
However, Bourdeaux wanted to give it a kick and create a colorful version of it.
Making his Strawberry Mendiant with Callebaut’s Strawberry Callets (chocolate disks) instead of regular chocolate was his first strike of genius in doing so. He then decided to add candied lemon parts, freeze-dried strawberry slices and roasted whole pistachios on top, and decorate it with silver leaf and raspberry powder.
Heaven!
