A Garbage Bag

It was a cold and frosty evening as Tara, a divorced mom of two, made her way home from work.

Tara crouched down and called for it to come to her. “Here, kitty, kitty.

What happened to you? I’m sorry you were in that bag. Let’s get you inside, it’s freezing.” Tara picked up the cat and went inside.

Gray

The cat wouldn’t stop meowing, and Tara quickly opened a can of tuna and gave it some water.

Luckily, her children were with their father for the week, she thought. It was better that she handled the situation herself.

Through its dirty, matted fur, Tara could see a tinge of white, but it was mostly gray. Who could have abandoned this poor cat?

Very Hungry

The cat gobbled up the food, and Tara instantly felt a pang of sadness. It was very hungry.

Who knew how long it was in the garbage bag? It also looked very underweight for a cat of its size.
